D'origine animale, abattage non confirmé : le phosphate d'os est fabriqué à partir d'os d'animaux, et Darul Fatwa considère les os d'un animal non abattu selon le rite islamique comme najis. Sans certification halal, nous présumons que l'animal n'a pas été abattu selon le rite islamique : c'est illicite (haram), sauf certification halal, certification casher d'une agence que nous acceptons, ou source halal confirmée (poisson, zabiha ou végétal). Si le produit est certifié par un organisme dont la politique autorise l'abattage mécanique ou l'étourdissement, il est douteux (élevé).

If someone has such doubt regarding the source of meat, whether it has been slaughtered Islamically or not, then it is haram to consume or eat this meat due to this doubt.
